Mfala Designer Textiles was set up in Greyton in the Western Cape, South Africa in January 2002. The company produces cushion covers, tablemats and napkins for sale in South Africa, UK, USA and elsewhere in the world. Our products are made of the finest fabrics. We use dupion silk, South African Wild Silk, linen, bull denim and, in our boudoir cushion range, velvet, lace, ribbon and beading. Every item is hand made. Each piece of material is screen-printed and hand-painted and our seamstresses make up each item to the highest standard. The focus is not on volume but on quality. Our colour ranges draw their inspiration from the colours of Africa – sunset pink to red, ocean blue to jade green, earth terracotta to ochre, citrus lime to lemon. We also produce natural organic wild silk items. Motifs are printed on to the front and back of each cushion and finished with hand painting.
